Parallel Taxiway G Expansion and Taxiway C Rehabilitation
From September through November 2009, Campbell & Paris performed resident inspection and construction management for the rehabilitation and relocation of two taxiways at Burlington International Airport. This approximately $2.4 million construction project included full-depth pavement demolition and replacement, new stormwater drainage, new taxiway edge lighting, and extensive FAA specification P-403 and P-401 asphalt production. The contractor achieved substantial completion in November, finishing well under budget. The project increased safety and pavement life on the airport and positioned the airport for future development and extension of parallel taxiway G.

Master Plan Update
Update the 16 year old Master Plan for the airport to reflect the current environment, aviation trends, technology, and regulations that govern the airfield. This document will provide operational forecast for a 20 year planning horizon to determine facility requirements and research development alternatives to allow the airport to effectively serve the community and national air transportation system. The fourth Technical Advisory Group meeting was held in January 2008 and a public information meeting was held in February 2008. The pilot surveys have been return indicating a high level of interest and overall satisfaction with the airport’s facilities. This project is scheduled to be completed early 2009.
